Troop 575 is based in Brooklyn Park, MN and is sponsored by St. Gerard's Catholic Church, 9600 Regent Ave. N. Our group's primary focus is camping, leadership skills, advancement, and community service.

We are part of Northern Star Council, Northern Lights District.

We were formed in 1991 with 9 Adults and 8 scouts who had formerly been with Troop 542, plus 2 new scouts graduating Webelos.  We have grown to the size we are due to the dedication of these original founders (some are still with us) and their relentless pursuit to recruit the best people for the job.  The result is parents that are involved in all aspects of our troop's operation.

Today (12 years later) we have 30 Eagle Scouts; each one that we are all proud of.  

As part of our leadership philosophy, we believe the scouts should operate the troop. This includes planning of the weekly/monthly programs, planning outings, merit badges, courts of honor, etc.  The leaders of the Troop are there to facilitate their efforts and provide guidance when necessary or requested.

Currently, as of March 2008, we are a unit of 36 active scouts, and 30 registered adults of which about 25 are active in the daily activities of the troop.
