Code of Conduct
For Scouts in Troop 575
|
Boy Scouts in Troop 575 are expected and agree to live by
the Scout Oath and Law. This applies to all Troop outings, Troop meetings
and in everyday life. I, the undersigned, agree to abide by this Code of
Conduct and the subsequent consequences if I should break this promise.
|
- I promise to respect other people’s privacy and property. This
includes Troop property. I will not invade other people’s private space,
such as a sleeping area, tent, duffle bag, gear, etc. without their
permission. I will not take anyone’s property without asking first. I will
treat Troop property as if it were my own. I will not hit anyone or throw
anything at people, tents, buildings, trees, cars, or other property.
- I will not use abusive language or profanity. I understand that
swearing is the sign of a poor vocabulary and a weak mind. I will not use
“zingers” or put-downs with other people.
- I will show respect to other Leaders and will perform my assigned
duties as requested. I will show respect for all adults.
- I will obey the rules of the Troop by not taking food, beverages, or
candy into tents. I will not litter. I will not have aerosol cans in my
possession.
|
I understand that the punishment for violating any of the
above promises may be severe and may include being suspended from
activities, being sent home, being assigned extra duties, and even being
evicted from the Troop. These punishments will be determined by the ranking
Scout; following discussion with the Adult in charge. The ultimate decision
rests with the Scoutmaster.
